The water today at kayaking was so clear you could see the sea grass on the bottom very easily. It thrives in shallow coastal water, especially sheltered waters like Pittwater, and needs good light. It acts as nurseries for prawns & fish which we saw plenty of today. The fish were actually jumping out the water in schools - missed the photo opportunity as couldn't get the camera out of the waterproof bag quick enough ! This photo turned out well, I thought.
