Welcome to Buster, (playing the drums) he has come for a few days from Palm Beach Kindy & we have to fill in his diary with his doings & photos of his doings ! Daisy hasn't put him down ( mainly for fear of the puppies getting him & shredding him )he sleeps with her, if she doesn't have him, then I usually have him tucked under an arm.

The Easter Bunny came to Kindy today for Daisy & this is her offering - rather cute ! Musing about the chocolate intake over the weekend, not mine, but the kids. Do I give all the chocolate to them in one go,so they can OD on it & not ask for more as they will be too busy feeling icky or bouncing off the walls .Or do I regulate their chocolate intake, & have 5 low key (no pun intended)hyper kids around, always asking for more..............

This did not come out as pretty as it actually looked. After all the rain we had this summer our autumn is proving to be wonderful with warm daytime temperatures & glorious warm waters. It was late on sunday evening as the sun was setting on the Pittwater side of Palm Beach. A few of us had gathered for drinks & nibbles with families to enjoy our late summer evenings, kids having a late surf, kicking a ball around, our dogs being adored & cuddled & the adults having a drink & picnic along with a good old chinwag.

The water today at kayaking was so clear you could see the sea grass on the bottom very easily. It thrives in shallow coastal water, especially sheltered waters like Pittwater, and needs good light. It acts as nurseries for prawns & fish which we saw plenty of today. The fish were actually jumping out the water in schools - missed the photo opportunity as couldn't get the camera out of the waterproof bag quick enough ! This photo turned out well, I thought.

Harley on his way to his first LAV dance.
THE DJs are altar boys and girls. There are voice-recognition security checks, rules against lingering kisses and even bleeped versions of Eminem's hits are too dirty to play.
But somehow, north Sydney's junior high school dance party, Lav, has done well for nine years.
Its driving force is Dionisio Danai Paunlagui Penollar, from the Seminary of the Good Shepherd in Homebush, who has continued his work as "DJ Father Dan" while studying for his imminent ordination.
Mr Penollar preaches disco without the fever, where courtship is strictly controlled. "As a minimum, hands have to be above the hips - hands aren't allowed to wander. If they do, chaperones will tap them on the shoulder. And if they're kissing for too long, a chaperone will tap them on the shoulder," he said. "You have a real risk of passions rising after the dance and we don't want that to happen."
Such measures have not stopped the crowds. Officially called the Combined Schools Dance Party, the monthly event attracts 400 to 500 teenagers from all denominations in years 7 to 10 from at least 20 schools. The event began in 1997 as a fund-raiser for altar servers.

Norfolk Pine tree. These are planted all along the beaches here & are massive. People plant them in their gardens not realising in 10 years they cost thousands to get rid of. They are fast growers, originate from Norfolk Island(duh !)but drop bits that are almost un -decompostable(!). They only look good at the beach, to provide shade !
This photo was taken using the Natural Greenery option.......ahhhhh,thank god for technology !
