White is nice but sometimes so boring. I feel we need more colour in our lives - especially after all the rain, so have decided to paint my 2 white adirondacks. Now, the hardest part is the colour ,any suggestions ?

Ha Ha I bought these today for myself. April was the wettest month in history here, May the driest & Jun is proving to be even wetter - so much for our drought. Anyway, taking puppies for walks in a swampy dog park (hence the reason the local council gave it to the dogs) was giving me foot rot, so for the 1st time since I was a child I am going to be wearing wellies or gumboots as they are known here.

Kayaked around here today with Harley. Still part of Pittwater but the lower part near Newport & Bayview. Saw boats that rival those in Fort Lauderdale plus we saw Wild Oats ( racing yacht-Sydney to Hobart ?) would love a boat but its not really that practical.How often would we use it ?

This blog was created for me to take a photo a day to learn & improve my photo skills. The past few weeks have been a trial in downloading, not getting to the computer for days & finally problems with my camera.
So I have made a decision in that a photo a day is too much to achieve so if I dont do a daily one - it is not the end of the world !
I will still carry my camera everywhere & endeavour to take a picture a day but I cannot get stressed about it if it doesn't happen. Far too many other things in my life to get stressed about...........
I took this photo whilst taking the dogs for a walk with Daisy - I threw balls for the dogs & she climbed all over this Moreton Bay Fig, the sun was shining through & I thought she looked a little ethereal as if emerging from the huge roots of the tree.

Triplets went out on a boat fishing for their birthday.All male,3 adults & 8 kids- I did the wifely thing & cooked chicken pasties,choc chip cookies,and packed popcorn,crisps & fruit (not eaten) with beer for the men & juice for the kids.They were out for 4 hours & caught 9 fish & 1 blue swimmer crab,all were returned to the water on their return.

Downloading my photos is taking way too long ! Sometimes it loads in seconds & sometimes its like today where it still hasn't loaded the photo after 25 mins and 5 tries. Very fickle.

Confession time - this was not taken today but on monday but I wanted to show you where the boys went on their camp. It is accessible by boat,only takes 15 mins from where we live but looks like its in the middle of nowhere,which it is really. This lovely haven is owned by the sport & recreation dept of the government. The facilities include a 50m pool,a gymnasium,self contained cabins along with dormitory style cabins,there are kayaks & small boats,an archery gallery & a ropes assault course ( all hidden in the bush).
I wonder how long before the government sells this prime piece of land ?

And today we found this little collection.
When I was pregnant with Daisy, some friends did a belly cast of my tummy at 34 weeks. I have never got around to decorating it - as well as never doing her baby book - due to lack of ideas on the decoration. Maybe I should cover it in shells, a thought to ponder over.

I took the triplets & Daisy into the city for a couple of days this holidays. This slideshow was taken at the Aquarium with me trying all manner of compositions & settings - needless to say,kids got bored & wandered off or turned away whilst waiting for the sharks or rays to get in the frame too. I think the final one is the best, but thats pretty obvious !
