After a year, I can now finally wear my Tiffany bracelet,it has been a catalogue of disasters which resulted in Tiffany's losing it in their workshop. Today a brand new one arrived via courier to our house !

Just a taste of where I paddle 2 mornings a week.It really is beautiful & when the sun shines you cant believe you are in such an amazing place. I do have to stop every now & then to look at where I am & appreciate it - just think I could still be living & working in London.......

This building up until 3yrs ago was a boatyard & boatshop right on the water on Pittwater side.Then along came a developer.......
unlike usual developers this one has turned this old building into an amazing piece of architecture,the wooden structure on the side symbolises the previous usage of the building & there are 3 luxury apartments in the building.Each apartment was selling for around $3 million.They apparently have been done with sympathy & they look absolutely amazing from the outside.Tried to get inside but you have to prove you have the money before they will show you it - no riff raff there !

Toffee bananas & apples with vanilla ice cream & stretched out toffee for pudding,at one of the best Asian restaurants in Australia.We were phoned twice to remind us about the dress code before our booking.Amazing meal,started with steamed lobster dumplings,then soft shell crab,some pearl meat on its shell,red emperor fish,then peking duck followed by the dessert.
It was dead posh !!

A girls weekend in Melbourne began with 6 hours of traipsing Fitzroy's Brunswick St shopping and
ended at a churros chocolate cafe where we had a "Tapas" of Churros,chocolates,choc sauce,choc ice-cream & choc brownies.....

Frangipani tree. This tree flowers at the height of summer & comes in white, yellow, apricot, light pink & hot pink. This is one in my front garden & appears to thrive on neglect unlike my others which are tended & haven't even flowered ! The downside of these trees is that they shed everything in winter & look incredibly ugly but the scent from the flowers in the summer is so divine that it makes up for winters ugliness.

Another swimming carnival today.I wont bore you with photos but will say that Harley did 2 firsts & a second in his races,plus a fourth - he lost his goggles !
Instead here is a picture for Sandra of Lakshmi,the goddess of wealth & beauty.Im afraid she is not in a beautiful setting & I feel guilty,so will find her somewhere beautiful to stand tomorrow.

Baha'i Temple located not far from here.
There are 7 temples around the world,each continent is covered apart from Antartica.They must be 9 sided having 9 doors or entrances,have a dome & be surrounded by gardens & a walk.The outside makes you think there is something worth looking at
inside,but far from it ! It is very basic no adornment,no altar & wooden hard chairs to sit on.
The Faith accepts most other religions,so is very accommodating to aussies & is even taught in primary schools here. For further info check out the website below.

Pistachio & Rosewater cupcakes - the most delicious adult cupcakes I have ever had !
Combine 225g softened butter,225g castor sugar,225g sr flour,4 eggs & 1 tsp rosewater in a bowl,beat until smooth & pale.Spoon into 18 cases & bake for 20 mins in a 175C/350F/Gas Mark 4 oven.
When cool,combine 200g cream cheese & 175g icing sugar & beat until soft & creamy,add 2tbsps rosewater & 3 tbsps of unsalted pistachios,stir well & swirl onto cupcakes.

Ocean swims are a big thing here on the east coast.Most beaches have them between Oct - May and they can last from 1km to 10km.
Harley & Morgan swam in their first ocean swim,the Cole Classic at Manly (www.coleclassic.com.au),they completed the 1km swim & results are published on the above website.It was a great atmosphere people milling around,the rain pouring down didnt dampen anyone's spirit & the spectators cheered on every swimmer as they went into the water & as they came out.
My boys are pleased with themselves & now the others are wanting to do an ocean swim.
Here we come Balmoral Beach Ocean Swim ?

A pinch & a punch for the 1st of the month..........
The drought here must have broken now & the dams must be at least 3/4 full . Feel as if this summer is passing us by with storms & plenty of rain,leaves us hardly any time for idle days at the beach.Last week was sunny but the rain started again & Scooter is not impressed - puppy toilet training is not easy in the rain !
